I came to the class wondering how four days could be stretched out enough to include everything we would need to be “Master”. I did not think or dream that there would ever be so much. I have taken classes many times that simply turned into “gab sessions” and case discussions. Vicki had control over the class and we got down to business. It was worth the investment. My only regret is that I couldn’t have had this class sooner. I am more than impressed with the company and its integrity and passion.

Level 2 Infection Control

Dear Vicki,
I thoroughly enjoyed both the Level 1 and 2 course education. I can now educate my clients on numerous levels. I know the anatomy structure of the foot and correct terms for diseases / disorders of the skin and nail. Most importantly, I know specific precautions to take with clients who show signs of diabetes, CVI or who are elderly. I now know proper sanitation / disinfection / sterilization protocols. I feel very confident as a new nail technician!

Level 3 Comprehensive Foot and Leg Evaluation

I took level 3 because I had to in order to complete all levels. I couldn’t understand why there would be four days on leg and foot evaluation. What I found was a fast moving class that was actually fun in parts! I never thought I would use this type of information, but find that I am recognizing problems that I have learned about every day.

Biomechanics, gait, foot evaluation? When would I ever need that information! How wrong I was. I learned so much in this class that I would recommend it to everyone taking level 1. It broadens your knowledge in ways you can’t even imagine.

Level 5 Residency

On the way home from the residency, I sat beside a physician from Calgary AB who asked me for the difference between a Podiatrist and a C.Pod / CMP. I was able to explain that a C.Pod / CMP gives a professional pedicure, offering a full foot & lower limb evaluation, gait analysis, etc. We began discussing how the type of orthotics I have differ from the conventional ones. I explained that mine support the talus, allowing proper alignment of the tibia and fibula, etc, all the way up. The orthotics also help re-train the muscles so they are exercised and are able to hold form better. She also wanted to know if there is a C.Pod in the Calgary area for her own use & to whom she can refer patients. Thanks to Dr. Aust and the other educators for teaching us correct medical terminology, I was able to intelligently discuss the effects of Diabetes on the body, and what I really got from the residency was the scope of how diabetes affects the nerves.

This program has helped me become more confident when speaking to others, even if they turn out to be MD's!
